[support] 00038 Wex System fails to activate after IX Configuration deployed

Overview

An article detailing support on scenarios where an exported IX Configuration extension fails to deploy.

Issue

During deployment of a configuration exported by IX, deployment will sometimes fail and cause an error in wex-system, this will be shown in the logs:

2026-05-07 08:29:27,664 INFO  [RMI TCP Connection(49)-10.240.44.150] wt.system.err  - 2026-29-07 08:29:27 ERROR com.wincomplm.wex.kernel.impl.manager.WexKernelPackage - Package 'com.wincomplm.wex-system' : Failed to activate.

Solution

  • Update to Platform 2.17 from the extension center (Available from June 2026) Or
  • Update configuration from one system to another by taking screenshots and updating the configuration manually.
